Job summary

Brandon James is seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Fire Consultant to join a growing independent consultancy in the London area. The role involves working across residential developments and higher-risk buildings, delivering practical, proportionate advice to clients while building strong relationships.

The successful candidate will assess fire risk, conduct health and safety inspections and audits, and provide clear reports with actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.
• A recognised fire safety or fire risk assessment qualification.
• Experience carrying out fire risk assessments within residential buildings.
• Knowledge of higher-risk buildings and current building safety requirements.
• Strong report-writing and communication skills.
• Confidence working directly with clients and managing their own workload.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Undertake fire risk assessments across residential and higher-risk buildings.
• Provide health and safety inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
• Advise clients on fire safety, building safety and health and safety obligations.
• Produce clear reports, action plans and practical recommendations.
• Support clients with ongoing compliance and risk management.
• Attend client meetings and develop strong working relationships.
• Keep up to date with relevant legislation, guidance and industry standards.
