The Residential Emergency Response Practitioner will provide high quality care and interventions to children and young people in a variety of settings including residential homes, emergency accommodation, family home and foster placements.
As part of our emergency response team, this role will work across services, often supporting children in crisis and will report into the Children’s Home Registered Manager.
This post holder will play an active role which contributes to the protection, safeguarding and promotion of the education, health and well-being of Rotherham’s children and young people.
You will hold a Level 5/6 Diploma in Residential Child Care or the equivalent knowledge evidenced by your working experience.
You’ll be a committed member of the team, seeking to inspire and support some of our most complex young people. As part of the residential team you will be required to work evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts as needed.
You must be able to travel to various locations throughout the Borough.

From 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2024, employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a weekly / monthly deduction (dependent on pay frequency) from each pay period over the full financial year.
