Job summary

FirstPort Limited is seeking a Visiting Development Manager in Sheffield to join our property management team. The role offers a fixed salary of £23,205 per annum plus benefits and a 35-hour week, with a live-in, rent-free accommodation option to support residents and communities.

You will maintain high safety and service standards, supervise contractors, build resident relationships, and work with a local team to enhance the living experience across the development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development/office and ensure residents are checked within requirements.
• Carry out daily checks to keep the building safe and secure; manage records and data protection; supervise contractors and upkeep of communal areas.
• Oversee works, raise orders, monitor progress, and sign off completion with contractors.
• Encourage Residents Association and social events to enhance community experience.
• Build links with residents, families, authorities, doctors, social workers as required.
• In emergencies, contact the appropriate response teams; assist with sales with Retirement Homesearch.

Job Role: Visiting Development Manager (Ref 26698)

Location: Sheffield, Yorkshire

Salary: £23,205.00 per annum, plus benefits

Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (35 hours per week)

This is a live in position with rent-free accommodation provided.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development / office, ensure our residents are checked within our requirements.
• Carry out daily checks ensuring the building is safe and secure, Maintain records in line with internal procedures, ensure all data is protected and kept secure at all times. K eeping all communal areas, gardens and grounds clean and maintained through effective management of contractors.
• Be responsible for all works being completed, raising orders, managing contractors, monitoring progress and signing off completion.
• Encourage and support the formation of a Residents Association, and work with them to enhance the customer experience for residents, Helping build a sense of community by encouraging and supporting a Social Committee to plan and run social events for all residents.
• Build and maintain links with resident’s family members, local authorities; Doctors, Social Workers, Health Authority etc as required and appropriate.
• In the event of an emergency, call the appropriate response team or authorities.
• Assist with sales listed with our partner company Retirement Homesearch , make new residents feel welcome and help them settle in; where possible being present to welcome them.
• Work across your local peer team of Development Managers for advice and day to day support and travel to team / company meetings on a monthly / annual basis

About you

• Customer service - a passion for providing an exceptional level of customer service at all times, ideally in a face to face environment.
• Communication - a natural communicator, with the ability to resolve issues and complaints effectively
• Health & Safety - an understanding of the importance of health & safety, experience of dealing with challenging or emergency situations
• IT - able to operate Microsoft Office applications, and confident in learning new systems
• Administration - organised, methodical and experience of keeping accurate records
• Personal - an outgoing personality, with the ability to build professional relationships with colleagues and customers, self-motivated, pro-active, team oriented, and innovative.
