Bay View Childcare is seeking a dedicated Residential Deputy Manager in Morecambe to lead a small group of children aged 8-18 and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. You will work closely with the Registered Manager, oversee daily operations, support staff development and drive outstanding outcomes for young people in our care.

The role requires proven residential childcare experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to regulatory compliance and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with families, local authorities, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
• Support, motivate and develop the staff team through supervision and performance management.
• Contribute to a positive, child-centred culture within the home.
• Monitor and manage resources, ensuring budgets are adhered to.
• Promote safeguarding and high standards of care at all times.

Residential Deputy Manager
Location: Morecambe
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Base Salary: 33,799.67 per annum
Potential Earnings: Up to 40,519.67 per annum with sleep-in shifts
Specific Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, dynamic and inspirational Residential Deputy Manager to join our established team at Bay View Childcare.

Based within one of our welcoming children's homes in the Morecambe area, you will play a key role in supporting young people aged 8-18 who have social, emotional and behavioural needs. With a maximum of four young people per home, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while helping to create a safe, nurturing and positive environment where children can thrive.

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will help lead the day-to-day operations of the home, support the development of the staff team and ensure outstanding outcomes for the children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day leadership and management of the home
