Job Title: Residential Support Worker

Location:Crawley

Pay Rate: £13.00 - £18.00 per hour

We are seeking experienced Support Workers and Senior Support Workers for a challenging yet rewarding role on our specialist team in Crawley. You will be supporting children and young people in crisis, using your skills to de-escalate difficult situations, build trust, and provide a safe, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing comprehensive care and support to children and young people.

  • Working confidently with colleagues to manage and de-escalate heightened behaviours.

  • Making decisive decisions and taking appropriate action in challenging situations.

  • Maintaining detailed, accurate daily records and incident reports.

  • Engaging creatively with children to establish and build trust.

  • Collaborating with the wider team to implement care plans.

  • Demonstrating sound communication, strong judgement, and clear professional boundaries.

Essential Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.

  • Must have a minimum of 6 months' experience as a residential children's support worker (in a residential setting) within the last 3 years.

  • Full UK driving licence and have access to your own car.

  • Must have an updated enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain one).

  • Must provide a valid overseas police certificate (if you lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the last 5 years).

Desirable Qualifications
  • An NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent).

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • A genuine and demonstrable commitment to the welfare of children.
