The Role:

As a Residential Childrens Support Worker, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day care and wellbeing of the young people in our care. You will:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children
  • Assist with daily routines such as school runs, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and caring environment.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and behavioural support strategies.
  • Conduct regular key work sessions with the young people
  • Support children in overcoming personal challenges and achieving their goals.
  • Keep accurate records and contribute to reports on the children’s progress and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Building positive relationships with children to foster trust and stability.
  • Managing challenging behaviour with a calm and patient approach.
  • Encouraging and promoting the development of life skills.
  • Following safeguarding procedures and promoting a culture of safety and respect.
  • Liaising with the appropriate agencies who are involved in the young person’s care.
