Job summary

Bay View Childcare is seeking Residential Childcare Support Workers to provide a safe, supportive environment for vulnerable young people in Lancaster, Carnforth and Heysham.

The role includes emotional support, domestic duties, meal planning, safeguarding and promoting welfare. Training leading to a Childcare Diploma is provided; a DBS check is required, and the team works closely to help young people grow and engage with communities.

Qualifications

• Support workers provide emotional and social support to looked-after young people.
• DBS check at enhanced level is required.
• Full training will be provided to achieve a Childcare Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and social support to young people and help them develop relationships.
• Carry out domestic duties within the home and plan, shop and prepare meals with the children.
• Promote safeguarding and the welfare of the young people.
• Encourage development of individual interests of the young people.
