Summary

At Inspirations Care ltd we provide a high standard of care and support to children and young people who have emotional, and behavioural difficulties. Starting salary is £25’396.80 to £33’280.00 per annum. In addition to this wage our Sleep‑in duty is an additional £71.28 per sleep, and we offer a bonus of £250.00 should you (once employed) introduce new staff.

Main responsibilities
  • Complete key domestic duties on a day-to-day basis that ensure a homely environment is maintained
  • encourage the development of individual interests and attitudes by planning, organising and participating in activities
  • To promote, safeguard, and protect the welfare of each young person in accordance with Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018
  • To assess individual care needs and contribute to care plans and risk assessments
  • Establish and maintain appropriate, professional relationships with young people
  • Manage challenging behaviour positively, and assertively by working in line with specific behaviour risk management plans
  • Consult with young people to promote a healthy lifestyle
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and review of care packages through team meetings, and supervision
  • attend and support young people in childcare reviews
All applicants must have
  • minimum one year experience working in a childcare setting supporting vulnerable children
  • understanding and commitment to the role, which is 24/7/365 including weekends and bank holiday working
  • Undertake sleep‑in duty as part of a flexible roster
  • Be capable of working on their own initiative to a high level of accuracy, maintain clear, neat records
  • Have good inter‑personal skills and be a positive team player
  • Computer experience (word documents)
  • The ability to complete daily records to meet statutory requirements
  • Empathetic, caring nature, and a desire to help others
  • Have good oral and written skills
  • The ability to encourage, mentor, role model , and motivate young people
  • A desire to learn as a comprehensive training package is required which includes the completion of a level 4 Diploma children, young people, and families practitioner award within two years of employment as this is a requirement of the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015
  • Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and employment reference checks
  • Applicants must be over 21 in line with legislative frameworks that govern our field of work (This is an exempt vacancy under the Employment Equality Act 2010 and Age Regulations Act 2006)
