Job summary

A leading luxury care home provider in the UK is seeking a dedicated Residential Care Manager for Moorlands Lodge Care Home in Hindhead. Overview

Avery Healthcare is one of the UK’s largest providers of luxury elderly care homes. We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Residential Care Manager to join our award-winning team at Moorlands Lodge Care Home in Hindhead. The role will involve managing a team of Care Supervisors, ensuring high-quality personal care is delivered to residents, and advocating for their wellbeing.

Main duties of the job

As a Residential Care Manager, your focus will be to manage the group of Care Supervisors within the home, ensuring a high-quality delivery of personal care to residents. You will be an advocate for all residents, maintaining their best interest in all areas of their wellbeing. Other responsibilities include coordinating the resident assessment process, supporting and developing your team, managing equipment storage and cleaning, ensuring compliance with medication management, and conducting quality care spot checks.

Package Description

Shift Details: 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend cover.

Job responsibilities
  • Co-ordinating the resident assessment process, ensuring that the planned care is accurate and reflected in each individual care plan.
  • Supporting, guiding, and developing team members.
  • Managing the process of ensuring that all equipment is stored in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and is cleaned and stored appropriately after use.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Safe Medication Management programme, with robust auditing procedures.
  • Undertaking Quality Care Spot Checks, reporting on the quality of care provided by Care Supervisors, Care staff and Senior Care staff within the team.
About You

  • NVQ Level 4 in Care or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in long-term care or a similar industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards.

  • ADBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
