Job summary

Bira Care Homes Ashton Park is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan, deliver and evaluate a range of activities for residents, promoting engagement, independence and wellbeing. The role involves tailoring plans to individual preferences and ensuring inclusivity across diverse backgrounds.

You will work with the care team to identify needs, maintain records and comply with CIW/CQC and safety regulations, while liaising with families and volunteers to enhance the activity offering.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning or delivering group or one-to-one activities.
• Creativity, enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate individuals with diverse needs.
• Good organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop activity plans tailored to residents' preferences and abilities.
• Promote independence, dignity and joy in interactions.
• Complete and maintain activity records, evaluations and risk assessments.
• Comply with CIW/CQC and health and safety regulations, infection control and risk management.
• Coordinate with care team, families, volunteers and the community to enhance activities.
• Keep activity areas safe, clean and well set up; report hazards and incidents.
• Reflect on feedback to continually improve the activity programme.
