Salary: £65,000 - £73,092 (DOE) with opportunities for additional paid Bank shifts.

Job Description

The Opportunity: Join The Harborne Hospital's Oncology Unit and work alongside leading consultants in a world‑class environment with the latest technologies, including advanced therapies and robotics. Our patient-to-doctor ratios are designed to enable truly bespoke care.

As part of our team of Resident Doctors, this role focuses on general wards and day‑case areas, working with highly specialist Nurses and acting on Consultant-led decisions. Your day‑to‑day duties will include the responsibilities listed below.

Role context: This is a Consultant Led Service with opportunities for expansion. You may be involved in audits, projects and quality improvement initiatives, and you can join various internal networks to help drive service improvement, patient satisfaction, clinical governance or MDT meetings.

About the Role: This position focuses on general wards and day‑case areas, working in partnership with Nurses and acting on Consultant‑led decisions. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:

  • Pre- and post-operative treatments and clinical assessments
  • Participating in ward rounds and clerking admissions
  • Reviewing discharges and assessing referrals
What You'll Bring
  • Full GMC registration and completion of Foundation training
  • Minimum Training of: ST2/IMT2 level (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2 years' Oncology experience
  • Ideally, post‑qualification exams such as MRCP
  • A passion for patient‑centred care and collaborative teamwork
