Job summary

The Harborne Hospital in Birmingham is seeking a Resident Doctor Generalist to cover general wards and day-case areas, working in a consultant-led framework. Applicants should hold GMC registration, MBBS, and an ALS certificate, with NHS training of at least three years.

  • MBBS qualification is required.
  • ALS certificate is required.
  • NHS trained minimum 3 years in specialty/IMT/CT training.
  • MRCP or MRCS is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Cover general wards and day-case areas under consultant-led decisions.
  • Attend and lead on emergencies such as cardiac arrest calls.
  • Contribute to audits, projects and quality improvement initiatives.

**Role:** Resident Doctor Generalist **Town / Site:** The Harborne Hospital, Birmingham, West Midlands. **Full time / Part time:** Full Time or Part Time. **Shift times:** 12 hrs shifts Patterned, (Days Nights & Weekends) **Permanent:** There are opportunities for additional shifts, by join our Bank ( internal locums ) **Salary:** £64,000 - £69,525 (DOE)We’re looking for General Surgical or Acute Medicine Resident Doctor to join our medical team at The Harborne Hospital, Birmingham, West Midlands.As part of our team of Resident Doctors **this particular position is to cover our general wards and day-case areas,** acting on Consultant-Led decisions in partnership with highly specialist Nurses. Day-to-day this could include pre-op or post-op treatments, clinical assessments, ward rounds or clerking admissions, reviewing discharges, assessing referrals and providing immediate medical care such as attending and leading on emergency cardiac arrest calls or other instances where patients need your support.It’s a unique opportunity to join a company operating at the very forefront of clinical innovation where you can work with, and learn from some of the country’s leading consultants.
