Job summary

Aspen Court Care Home in Taunton is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to support residents in leading engaging lives. You will work with the Activity Coordinator and care team to plan a range of meaningful activities tailored to residents’ interests.

The role offers £12.21 per hour, full-time contracts of 37.5 hours weekly, with alternate weekends. Benefits include a pension, onsite parking, paid DBS, uniform, and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and creative individual who loves enriching residents' lives.
• Able to work as part of a team and also independently.
• Organised and creative with good communication skills.
• Willingness to attend training as required.
• Full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities for residents.
• Encourage participation to promote social interaction and well-being.
• Work with care team to provide meaningful occupation and leisure activities.
• Maintain records of activities in care plans.
• Support outings and events with risk assessments where needed.
• Help residents stay connected with family via visits, WhatsApp or Zoom.
