A leading conservation organization in the UK is looking for a Full-Time Habitat Manager to oversee the upkeep of wetlands and manage volunteer teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in habitat management, biological surveys, and mentoring seasonal staff. This role involves physical monitoring and the operation of machinery in natural habitats. The position is based in North Wales and offers a permanent contract with a competitive salary of £27,123.00 - £28,956.00 per annum.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of practical habitat and estate management.
• Proven track record of working alone and within a team.
• Comfortable managing seasonal wardens and volunteers.
• Reasonable birdwatching knowledge and experience of biological surveys.
• Full, manual driving license valid in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wetlands and reserve infrastructure.
• Manage weekly volunteer work parties.
• Line manage seasonal wardens during breeding seasons.
• Conduct biological monitoring and surveys.
• Assist with predator control for ground nesting birds.
