Overview

Jockey Club 'CoolPlay' Project Phase 2 is generously funded by a HK$64 million donation from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. The project aims to ignite a passion for STEM learning in young children, setting the stage for future STEM education. Through our focus on play and exploration, we aim to enrich children's learning interests, learning attitudes (including resilience), and skills (including observing and predicting). This endeavour will be supported by a growing community of specially trained educators and experts, engaged parents, as well as the passionate community. With our internationally recognised STEM learning resource kit - JumpStarter, we make exploration easily accessible for everyone.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyse qualitative and/or quantitative data for project evaluation
  • Conduct literature review
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Co-Director or his delegates
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years’ relevant experience, or Associate Degree / Higher Diploma (or equivalent qualification) with at least 5 years’ relevant experience;
  • At least 3 year of experience working in a role in developing assessments and evaluation for school projects
  • Experience working with young children, families, or teachers
  • Proficiency in using software for data analysis, such as SPSS or Nvivo.
  • Familiarity with online research databases and tools.
  • Ability to use technology to enhance research productivity.
  • Strong research skills, including the ability to conduct literature reviews and develop evaluation tools.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
