Overview

Researcher – Higher Education – Leeds – Full Time, Temporary Contract

Pay rate: £25.61 – £39.83 per hour (depending on experience)

I am recruiting on behalf of a respected Leeds based university for an experienced Researcher to support an ongoing academic project on a full time temporary basis. This role will involve contributing to research design, data collection and analysis, and the production of high-quality outputs in line with university and funding requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research activity including literature reviews, data gathering, interviews, analysis and reporting
  • Contribute to the development of research methodologies, project plans and academic papers
  • Prepare research summaries, presentations and written reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with academic lead(s), project partners and wider research teams
  • Ensure all research activity complies with ethical, legal and data protection standards
  • Support dissemination activity including conferences, publications and project updates
Requirements
  • Previous research experience within a higher education or funded research environment
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field, ideally with a postgraduate or research-focused qualification
  • Strong ability to analyse data, interpret findings and present results clearly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Experience using research tools, software or data analysis methods is beneficial
