Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a laboratory-based Research Technician for the Gago’s Lab within the Manchester Fungal Infection Group on an Academy of Medical Sciences funded programme. This 18-month, full-time role focuses on infection biology and translational research, with a strong emphasis on cell culture, microbiology and translational workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience establishing and maintaining primary cell cultures.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture is essential.
• Knowledge of microbiological techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform grant-funded experiments independently and contribute to experimental design.
• Consult with other researchers, analyze data, and present/report findings.
• Maintain, use and teach laboratory equipment; ensure health and safety compliance.
