Job description

Candidates are invited to apply for a full-time, 9-month research technician position funded by Barts Charity to investigate novel mechanisms of blood pressure regulation using murine models. The successful applicant will be based at the Centre for Cardiovascular Medicine and Devices (Charterhouse Square), within the William Harvey Research Institute. Support and training will be available where necessary.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a willingness to learn new skills, hard-working, and with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records. Relevant knowledge in cardiovascular research models or techniques, as well as any relevant experience, will be evaluated positively.

The Centre for Cardiovascular Medicine and Devices has been created to bridge the gap between academics and clinicians in their endeavour to innovate in translational medicine.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in London, full-time (35 hours per week), fixed-term appointment for 9 months, with an expected start date of 1st January 2026. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £33,263 - £37,472 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
