Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a Research Support Officer to assist researchers in attracting research income and delivering high-quality research services. This administrative, office-based role reports to a Research Support Manager and collaborates with Research Services and other internal stakeholders.

The role is full-time and open-ended. Hybrid working is available with a minimum of two days on campus each week, and applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Job description

The Research Support Officer post is an administrative and office-based role supporting researchers attract research income to the University which facilities the undertaking of high-quality research and exploits research outcomes. What you would be doing: This role requires the skillset to be work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment with high volumes. You will be working within a team to deliver a high-quality research support service to academic and other service users. You will report to a Research Support Manager and collaborate with Research Services colleagues as well as other internal stakeholders, helping the organisation support research activities and externally funded projects in a broad sense

  • This is a full-time, open-ended position.
  • Hybrid working is available, with a minimum requirement of two days per week on campus (not negotiable).
