Job summary

Mercor is seeking detail-oriented individuals to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models while working part-time, with responsibilities centered on creating high-quality research materials and AI evaluation datasets.

This role is suitable for those with 2-3 years of experience in STEM or related fields, or current postgraduate students, and requires a MacBook with an M-series chip.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in STEM or non-STEM fields or currently enrolled postgraduate students
• Masters studies pursued or completed or 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institution
• Strong online research and communication skills
• Ability to gather and summarize information from diverse sources
• Excellent written communication skills
• Interdisciplinary degree is a nice-to-have
• Must have a MacBook with Apple Silicon (ARM) or M-series MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air models running macOS 15 or higher

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality research questions, answers, and evaluation materials to train advanced language models
• Contribute to benchmarking and improvement of cutting-edge AI models
• Work on structured responsibilities with a balanced internship-style workload
• Support immediate start and flexible part-time scheduling with around 10-20 hours per week

Mercor is looking for detail-oriented individuals with 2-3 years of experience in STEM, non-STEM fields, or currently enrolled postgrad college students to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

Qualifications:

• Required: All experts on this project must have a Macbook device with an ‘M’ series chip to perform tasks on.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institution
• Strong online research and communication skills
• Ability to gather and clearly summarize information from diverse sources
• Excellent written communication skills
• Interdisciplinary degree is a nice to have
• Must have a Macbook with one of the following requirements:
  • Apple Silicon (ARM) Macs
  • M‑series MacBook Pro, or
  • MacBook Air models running macOS 15 or higher

Job Details:

• Part-time commitment of approximately 10-20 hours per week
