Qualifications

  • PhD in sleep or respiratory physiology, with postdoctoral experience.
  • Experience with maternal and perinatal outcomes and objective sleep measurement (PSG/home sleep apnea testing).
  • Experience designing clinical/behavioural/population health/digital health studies with ethics approval.
  • Strong publication record and experience securing research funding.
  • Project management across obstetricians, midwives, sleep physiologists & statisticians under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver observational cohort studies and interventional trials of sleep-disordered breathing in pregnancy.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, data scientists, behavioral scientists, digital health specialists and international partners.
  • Secure external funding and translate findings into antenatal screening and treatment pathways.
  • Note: role is non-clinical/basic science and does not involve direct healthcare delivery.
