Job summary

Meta is seeking Research Interns to join Monetization Ranking & AI Foundations, focusing on state-of-the-art ML/AI research and systems. The role involves collaboration with researchers and engineers across disciplines and publication of results for product applications.

Internships are twelve to sixteen, or twenty-four weeks long, with various start dates throughout the year, and require intent to return to a degree program after completion.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of achieving significant research results (grants, fellowships, patents, or first-authored publications).
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with Python, C++, C, Java, or other related languages.
• Experience with research and building systems based on ML/DL methods.
• Experience manipulating and analyzing large, high-dimensional data for ML training.

Responsibilities

Job description

1. 1. Conduct state-of-the-art research to advance the science and technology of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
2. 2. Develop novel algorithms and corresponding systems, leveraging various AI and ML techniques.
3. 3. Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of corresponding deployed algorithms.
4. 4. Collaborate with researchers and engineers across varied disciplines, including communicating research plans, progress, and results.
5. 5. Publish research results and contribute to research that can be applied to Meta product development.
6. 6. Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
7. 7. Experience with deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch or Tensorflow

10. 11. Proven track record of achieving significant research results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, KDD, IJCAI, CVPR, ICCV, ACL, NAACL, ICASSP, or similar
11. 12. Demonstrated software engineer experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub)
12. 13. Demonstrated experience and self-driven motivation in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches
13. 14. Experience manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources for large-scale training
