A global leader in drug development solutions is seeking a Research Scientist to assist in the expansion of physiologically based pharmacokinetic models. The ideal candidate will have a background in pharmaceutical sciences and experience with in vitro-in vivo extrapolation techniques. Responsibilities include research development, client support, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. This role offers opportunities for academic and commercial growth in a dynamic environment.
Certara Predictive Technologies is part of Certara, a company which combines sophisticated research and development informatics with the power of predictive science methodologies to span the drug development spectrum and offer pharma a previously unavailable ‘end-to-end’ solution in the quest for improving human health. The PBPK team conducts cutting-edge research and provides consultancy, knowledge integration tools, algorithms, modelling solutions and databases (implemented in its globally-recognised Simcyp Population-based Simulator) for a client base of major blue-chip pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisations. This role will be in the Translational DMPK Science team whose focus is on gathering information required for the modelling and simulation (M&S) of the individual time-course and fate of drugs. We are on course to become the global industry standard, consequently, there is a continuous requirement for high quality people to join us, help in our expansion and share in our success.
We have an immediate opening for a Research Scientist with a background in the areas of pharmaceutical sciences to assist with the expansion of physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models and compounds and populations libraries within the Simcyp Simulator. The candidate should have experience of in vitro-in vivo extrapolation techniques and an understanding of drug pharmacokinetics.
The candidate should have experience of conducting literature searches and have the ability to critically review literature and conduct meta-analysis of collected physiological, biological and clinical data. The post holder will be expected to assist with on-going customer support, education, and training related to the use of the Simcyp Simulator and to act as tutor on the workshop programmes.
The successful candidate will join an internationally recognised, multidisciplinary research team, providing opportunities for further development of knowledge and skills. The post does not include routine laboratory or clinical work. We offer a unique and exciting mix of academic and commercial environments which encourage regular attendance at scientific meetings as part of our continuous education programs.
