Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Project Officer to work within the Translational Radiobiology group, part of the wider Radiotherapy Related Research group. The post-holder will play a key role in supporting a translational programme of biomarker research across multiple pelvic tumour types (bladder, prostate and cervix). They will be responsible for providing day-to-day support and administration through all stages of the research project life cycle (from grant submission through to study closure).

The group’s research programme has expanded considerably over the last three years to include early phase clinical trials, translational and pre‑clinical research and as such will require the post-holder to be organised, flexible and dynamic in their approach to work. The post holder will support national and international projects with many high‑profile collaborators therefore excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

The position offers a fantastic opportunity for a well‑motivated individual with strong administrative, interpersonal and IT skills to gain experience in a clinical research environment working within a multidisciplinary team in this exciting field of research. The post holder will need a strong eye for detail, be enthusiastic and self‑motivated, and display good organisational and time‑management skills.
