Job description

The Research Officer will be responsible to the Senior Research Officer for the design, implementation and management of research projects as directed, and the supervision of the activities of staff engaged in the collection and collation of statistical information. They will also engage with the commissioning agent and summarise research findings in a digestible format.Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with, under the supervision of Senior Research Officer, both current and potential research users inside the Housing Executive and in Government Departments concerning their research requirements and translation of these requirements.
  • To undertake the design and implementation of both in-house and commissioned research projects, with particular emphasis on quality assurance.
  • To project manage and quality assure key research projects translating research results into management reports and Board papers.
  • To undertake all elements of the commissioning process for research / research related projects, including preparation of business cases and drafting procurement documents.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Possess a degree level qualification (Level 6) in social research methods or a social science related subject.
  • Can demonstrate a minimum of 1 year’s applied post-qualification experience working in a social research environment.
