Job description
Overview

The post holder will report directly to the Trust Research Matron and work within a specialised team of research nurses to manage and coordinate clinical research projects involving patients living with motor neurone disease.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate programmes of care for patients in line with clinical trial protocols, laboratory manuals and all relevant regulatory standards.
  • Develop and deliver recruitment targets and strategies to meet study enrolment objectives.
  • Ensure that research safeguards are in place to protect the well‑being of participants and that research is conducted within the regulatory framework.
  • Represent the MND team at national and international meetings.
  • Adhere to research governance and the regulatory framework, maintaining the highest possible standards of neurology research.
  • Coordinate all aspects of trial activities in collaboration with the department of Neurosciences and the Biomedical Research Centre.
