A prominent healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking an experienced Research Nurse Manager to oversee a nursing team at the Beatson Clinical Research Facility. An opportunity has arisen for a Research Nurse Manager (RNM) to join the Beatson Clinical Research Facility (BCRF) nursing team. The BCRF is an NHS facility which supports cancer clinical research across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and the study portfolio includes early phase/ translational and late phase studies across a wide range of adult solid and haematological malignancies.
The postholder will have responsibility for a team of nurses as part of the research nursing infrastructure supporting cancer research and includes the delivery of direct and indirect patient care within the current research teams.
We are looking for an experienced RGN educated to a minimum of degree level with substantial post registration experience which should be in a senior role. Evidence of appropriate post‑registration qualification/relevant experience in cancer is essential along with experience of SACT delivery. Attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills, good IT skills and a methodical approach are key requirements, along with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of the governance and legislative framework for conducting clinical research studies and staff management experience are desirable.
The post holder will be based at the Beatson site as RNM of the early phase nursing team. This is a 2 year fixed term post with renewable options.
