Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a keen interest in research? We are currently looking to recruit a motivated individual to join our team as a clinical research nurse to support our ongoing clinical trials within a range of specialities including the vascular portfolio. If you are passionate about improving healthcare outcomes and enjoy working in a fast‑paced, flexible environment, we want to hear from you! As a Registered Nurse you will play a vital role in delivering high quality care to participants in research studies. You will work closely with the existing team to ensure each aspect of approved research protocols are followed.
This role requires strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, with excellent attention to detail. You will be able to build on your existing clinical skills while practising in a supportive environment, developing complex decision‑making and collaborative skills to achieve study timelines and identify how barriers to participation are overcome. You will ensure that data is collected and recorded accurately and study interventions are administered within the agreed timelines of a study protocol. Our research participants will look to you to guide and support them through their research journey whilst providing high standards of care and specialist information regarding their participation in a study, including explaining all associated risk factors. You will need to attend relevant inpatient and outpatient areas to provide the individualised care needed as prescribed in the research protocol. This may include assessment of vital signs, ECGs, collection of samples and administration of trial medication/treatments. You will need to work closely with the multi‑professional teams and you will be expected to contribute to looking at working practices within a department to identify study cost and monitoring use of resources throughout the study. You will be responsible for populating finance spreadsheets to ensure invoices are raised according to the study contract.
