R&D Partners is seeking a Research Nurse to support study sites in the coordination of Phase I-IV clinical research studies. This role involves ensuring that studies are conducted in compliance with protocols, standard operating procedures, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and other applicable guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate clinical research studies under the supervision of the principal investigator.
  • Maintain skills, training, and knowledge of current best nursing practices and clinical research topics.
  • Safeguard the well-being of study participants and maintain high standards of care.
  • Create a safe environment in line with Health and Safety policies.
  • Act as a volunteer advocate and address concerns proactively.
  • Assist registered and unregistered staff in nursing practices and care delivery.
  • Support study conduct by:
  • Reviewing study protocols, case report forms (CRFs), and other study documents.
  • Participating in project meetings as needed.
  • Preparing for clinical set-up, including labeling specimen collection tubes, setting up equipment, and generating volunteer instructions.
  • Identifying and obtaining required supplies and equipment.
  • Delivering study-specific training materials and troubleshooting study issues.
  • Assisting with data quality checks and query resolution.
  • Recruit and screen volunteers based on pre-determined criteria.
  • Orientate volunteers to the study, including timelines and procedures.
  • Administer and manage custody of study drugs according to site SOPs.
  • Perform complex clinical procedures such as:
  • Vital signs monitoring, phlebotomy, ECG, spirometry, cannulation, and cardiac telemetry monitoring.
  • Collect, record, and report clinical data in CRFs.
  • Collaborate with study investigators to report adverse events and serious adverse events.
  • Work closely with study monitors and allocate time for monitoring activities.
Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of clinical trials and GCP principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows and Office applications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Nursing with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Current active nursing license in the region where the site is located.
  • Applicable certifications and licenses as required by regulatory bodies.
Physical Requirements:
  • Freuent use of telephone and face-to-face communication.
  • Use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.
  • Regular mobility around the facility.
About the Role

The primary focus of this position is to perform study coordination, administrative tasks, and patient care, including:

  • Conducting vital signs checks, blood draws, and administration of investigational products (IP).
  • Collecting, recording, and reporting clinical data.
  • Assisting with study enrollment through recruitment and screening.
  • Preparing for clinical set-up and ensuring data quality and accuracy.
