A large healthcare organization in Cardiff seeks a candidate to enhance patient participation in clinical trials. The role involves managing clinical trial patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have relevant clinical knowledge and experience in patient management. This position offers a chance to significantly impact health outcomes within the community.
The purpose of this post is to increase the number of patients participating in clinical trials at Cardiff and Vale UHB. The post will contribute to the assessment and management of care pathways for patients and carers participating in clinical trials.
This will include recruitment, education, monitoring of trial patients, collection and documentation of accurate data, and will involve working with Lead nurses and multidisciplinary teams within the Haematology directorate as well as wider teams assisting with the management of a caseload of clinical trial patients.
Identifying suitable participants for entry into clinical trials by attending clinics (screening notes) and relevant multidisciplinary team meetings. The post holder will use relevant clinical knowledge to identify participants suitable for clinical research using inclusion and exclusion criteria, utilising NHS records and attending wards and outpatient departments.
