Research Networks Coordinator – Oxford Centre for Emerging Minds Research

The Oxford Centre for Emerging Minds Research is a newly funded research centre that has been established to conduct world class research that contributes to a world where differences between children and young people are understood and accepted, strengths are capitalised on, and mental health difficulties are prevented or addressed early in life.

Working closely with the Research Networks Manager, the post holder will support the delivery of network priorities and objectives, facilitate communication between stakeholders, and help ensure that the networks operate effectively and consistently. They will also work collaboratively with colleagues across OCEMR, the Charlie Waller Trust, researchers, Steering Group members and other partners to support shared goals and maximise the value of the networks.

The post is available on a flexible hybrid basis. The minimum on-site time is 3 days/week for a full-time post.

The role requires some flexibility in working hours to support network activities outside of core working hours. This may include up to two weekday evenings per month (finishing by 9:00pm), primarily to support steering group meetings and other member events, and occasional early morning and weekend work for activities such as workshops, public engagement, and network promotion events. Any work outside of core hours will be planned with a minimum of 2 weeks' notice.

About the Role

The post is funded until 30 September 2030 and is based in the Department of Experimental Psychology based at the Life and Mind Building.

You will coordinate and undertake theday-to-day operational processes that support the effective delivery of the Research Networks, including managing shared inboxes, teams’ channels, delegation and filing systems, ensuring activities are delivered efficiently, consistently, and in line with agreed processes. You will plan, coordinate and produce engaging network communications, including e-newsletters, website content, online resources and print and digital promotional materials. You will collect, analyse and present information relating to network membership, engagement, communications, activities and budgets, producing reports and dashboards to support monitoring, evaluation, decision-making and reporting requirements. You will contribute to the wider work of the OCEMR engagement team and the life of the Centre

About You

You will have demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining public-facing digital platforms such as websites, content management systems, newsletters, and social media channels for impact and engagement. You will have the ability to translate complex ideas into accessible and engaging materials for different external stakeholders and audiences, events, or engagement activities, using feedback and data to inform continuous improvement. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and clearly, including presenting information to a range of audiences. Experience of working or volunteering with children, young people and their families, including experience in schools or other educational settings is desirable.
