Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Research Midwife to coordinate recruitment, care, and monitoring of research subjects across midwifery studies. You will work with the clinical lead to complete ethics documentation and ensure compliance with governance and NHS policies.

The role requires a postgraduate qualification in research/clinical practice, plus GCP training and at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Post graduate qualification in research/clinical practice/management.
GCP Training within the last 18 months.
At least 2 years experience working in relevant clinical service/research.
Experience of facilitating clinical research studies in an acute setting.

Responsibilities

Plan and support recruitment, screening, monitoring and retention of research subjects per protocol.
Implement protocols as set by Chief/Principal Investigators.
Create and maintain databases for study progression and data collection.
Maintain source documentation and regulatory files for investigators.
Liaise with Chief Investigator and attend ongoing presentations as required.
Ensure adherence to GCP, guidelines, confidentiality, and professional practice.
Coordinate planning and development of protocols per research parameters.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient care within studies.
