Job Summary
The Research Manager is responsible for liaising with Contract Research Organisations (CRO), the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of clinical trials and research projects. They oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of multiple research projects and report directly to the Research Director. This role involves providing comprehensive updates on budget management, research outcomes, and regulatory compliance to maintain highest standards.
Main Duties
- Coordinate and manage research projects from start to finish: Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure efficient execution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve research objectives: Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners for smooth delivery and communication.
- Prepare and present research findings to senior management: Synthesize complex data into clear, concise reports and presentations that inform leadership decisions.
- Stay current with research trends and technologies: Continuously adopt new methodologies and tools to enhance research practices and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and ethical standards: Keep up to date with guidelines and ensure all activities meet required standards.
- Disseminate research findings effectively: Share results through publications, conferences, and stakeholder communications.
- Resolve challenges during the research process: Troubleshoot issues, address concerns, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and present research reports and findings to senior management, synthesizing complex information into clear reports and presentations.

- Disseminate research findings to the scientific community and stakeholders through publications, conferences and communications.
- Resolve issues and challenges that arise during the research process, troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions.
Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant field such as Business, Economics, or Social Sciences.
Experience
- Experience liaising with Contract Research Organisations (CROs), NIHR, academic partners and community organisations.
- Track record of successful grant applications or funding bids.
- Experience in budget management and financial oversight of research projects.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Experience in disseminating research findings through publications, conferences and stakeholder communications.
- Experience with research data management, including GDPR compliance and secure handling of sensitive information.
