Job description

The Research Manager is responsible for liaising withContract Research Organisations (CRO), the National Institute for HealthResearch (NIHR), and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution ofclinical trials and research projects. They oversee the planning,implementation, and monitoring of multiple research projects and reportdirectly to the Research Director.

This role involves providing comprehensive updates onbudget management, research outcomes, and regulatory compliance to ensure thatall projects meet the highest standards.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Research Managerplays a crucial role in maintaining a consistent flow of clinical trials byactively engaging with stakeholders. This includes coordinating meetings,facilitating communication between different parties, and resolving any issuesthat may arise during the research. They also work closely with the financeteam to manage project funding and ensure that financial resources areallocated appropriately. Furthermore, the Research manager is involved in thedissemination of research findings, ensuring that results are shared with therelevant scientific community and stakeholders.

Overall, the Research Manager is a key figure in theresearch process, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, on time,and within budget, while maintaining the highest levels of quality andcompliance.

Main duties of the job

Coordinate and manage research projects from start to finish: Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure efficient execution.

Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve research objectives: Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners for smooth delivery and communication.

Prepare and present research findings to senior management: Synthesise complex data into clear, concise reports and presentations that inform leadership decisions.

Stay current with research trends and technologies: Continuously adopt new methodologies and tools to enhance research practices and outcomes.
