Job summary

Autodesk Research – Intelligent Construction is seeking a Research Intern for a 12-week summer program. You will own a focused problem in context and knowledge systems for AI, building experimental prototypes and evaluating how they support downstream AI reasoning within a multidisciplinary Autodesk team.

You will work with researchers and engineers, exploring graph-based and hybrid retrieval methods, and may contribute to publications or demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a PhD program in a relevant field
• Research experience in knowledge representation or information retrieval
• Strong programming and experimental software development skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct original research in context and knowledge systems for AI
• Develop approaches to context construction and dynamic information retrieval
• Build prototypes using graph-based, semantic or hybrid methods
• Design rigorous experiments with clear baselines and evaluation
• Collaborate with Autodesk researchers and engineers
• Communicate findings through reports and demonstrations
