The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is seeking a Research Fellow to join the Infectious Disease Epidemiology & Dynamics department in London. The role focuses on developing and parameterizing models of poliovirus transmission to inform vaccination strategies for polio eradication.

Responsibilities include conducting epidemiological analyses in low-income countries and collaborating with partners in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree, in a relevant topic.
• Experience in constructing compartmental infectious disease models.
• Experience fitting models to data.

Responsabilités

• Conduct epidemiological analyses relevant to polio eradication, predominantly in low-income countries.
• Develop and parameterize models of poliovirus transmission to understand spatial patterns of cases.
• Manage the collection and handling of data related to transmission of childhood infectious diseases in low-income countries.
