We are currently recruiting a Post-Doctoral Trial Manager for a randomised controlled trial to evaluate the effectiveness of the Multimodal Approach to Preventing Suicide in Schools (MAPSS) intervention for Year 9 students in 36 schools across England. The role will involve leading day‑to‑day trial administration, participant recruitment, liaison with schools, and quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis with young people and professionals.

Tasks will include developing and conducting collaborative research projects; extending, transforming and applying knowledge acquired from scholarship to research and appropriate external activities; making presentations at conferences, or exhibiting work in other appropriate events; and writing up research work for publication.

A PhD (or near completion) in either Psychology or a related discipline, or equivalent research experience is essential as well as the ability to run empirical research independently. It is also essential that you have experience of undertaking and managing quantitative and qualitative data collection, storage, and analysis, including the use of psychometrically validated measures.

The post is fixed term for 44 months, beginning January 2027.
