Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
The University of Leeds is inviting a Research Fellow to advance theoretical and computational studies of topological quantum matter within condensed matter physics.
You will work on topological and geometric properties of fractional quantum Hall states and fractional Chern insulators, employing exact diagonalisation, matrix product states, and neural quantum states in both classical and quantum simulations.
Do you have a background in topological phases of matter or numerical simulations of quantum many-body systems? Would you like to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive universities?
The project will involve the development of new theoretical and computational approaches to study topological quantum matter, in the context of condensed matter physics and ultracold atomic systems. The focus areas of the project include topological and geometric properties of fractional quantum Hall states and fractional Chern insulators, including their classical and quantum simulations (in particular, exact diagonalisation, matrix product state and neural quantum state methods, as well as quantum simulations).
