The University of Leeds is seeking a researcher with a background in computational chemistry or physics to join a UKRI/EPSRC funded project on Attochemistry of biomolecular building blocks. The role focuses on simulating chemical dynamics at the attosecond time scale and understanding rearrangements of chemical bonds in molecules, in collaboration with physicists.
The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge theory and simulations, with opportunities for personal development and
This job is only available to University of Leeds staff. It may be released externally should we not appoint internally.
Are you a researcher looking for a new challenge? Do you have background in Computational Chemistry or Physics? Do you have an experience in computational chemistry? Are you interested in ultrafast chemistry? In this project you will investigate chemistry on extremely fast time scale. In particularly you will work on understanding of rearrangements of chemical bonds in molecules, which happens on the attosecond time scale. Your research will be in collaboration with physicists. This position will be funded by UKRI/EPSRC grant Attochemistry of biomolecular building blocks. The project is focused on simulation of chemical dynamics at the time scale of chemical bond rearranging.
