Job summary

The University of Manchester seeks a full-time Regulatory Compliance Officer to support the Head of Research Security and Compliance in delivering a service that enables cutting-edge research while ensuring compliance with export controls and other regulatory areas. The role requires translating complex regulations for diverse audiences and collaborating with colleagues across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Analytical mindset and attention to detail for regulatory work in research settings.
• Awareness of legislation and regulations related to research activities and export controls.
• Experience briefing senior managers and reporting to senior staff/committees.

Responsibilities

• Translate regulations for diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Engage with colleagues across backgrounds to support compliant research activities.
• Compile and submit applications through government portals and liaise with government departments as required.
