What You'll Do:

As a Research Associate, you will be at the forefront of our herbicide research projects, supporting the Primary Profile Screening (PPS) platform. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Spraying, maintaining, and assessing plants in the glasshouse to ensure the delivery of timely, high-quality biological data.
  • Conducting herbicide bioassays using both established and novel screening methods.
  • Maintaining plants under glasshouse conditions and disposing of plant materials post-testing.
  • Accurately assessing plants for herbicidal symptoms and activity, entering results into our relevant databases.
  • Collaborating with the PPS screening operations team, both independently and as a team player.
  • Keeping meticulous records and ensuring databases are up-to-date.
  • Identifying and reporting any issues or non-conformities that arise during your work.
  • Training others in daily tasks and actively contributing to team efficiency and improvement.
