The University of Glasgow invites applications for a Research Associate to lead the PEEN project, a 12-month program funded by BBSRC Transformative Research Technologies, to build a new platform for super‑resolution, label‑free metabolic imaging of microbial cells.

You will develop expansion chemistry, in situ nanoparticle synthesis, and SERS substrate characterization, with computational analysis handled by the PI.

• Lead the chemistry for expansion and in situ nanoparticle synthesis, and validate the expansion process.
• Characterise the plasmonic substrate and demonstrate the platform on deuterium-labelled E. coli.
• Contribute to research publications and proposals and help manage the project as opportunities allow.
