Job summary

University of Sheffield invites applications for a Research Associate to support a Knowledge Exchange project on library and education provision in the criminal justice system. You will map evidence, identify good practices and help plan practitioner workshops with probation and library staff, contributing to practical guides and policy outputs.

The role offers development of research and engagement skills in a policy environment, with a focus on independent workload management and collaboration

Qualifications

• PhD or progress toward PhD in librarianship, education, criminology or related area.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
• Experience in workshop delivery or stakeholder engagement would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evidence-mapping and prioritisation for a Knowledge Exchange project.
• Identify and synthesise evidence of good practice for policy outputs.
• Plan and deliver practitioner workshops with probation, public library staff and service users.
• Contribute to guides, a practical toolkit and policy-focused outputs.
