Job summary

Ulster University in Coleraine invites applications for a Research Associate in Nutrition to join the Nutrition Innovation Centre for Food and Health (NICHE). The role focuses on a human intervention study assessing the effects of a proprietary phytochemical supplement on eye health.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in nutrition or related biological sciences, and a PhD (or near completion) with postgraduate research experience in food/nutrition/health, plus expertise in human intervention

• Hold a PhD (or near completion with thesis submitted) in nutrition, biomedical sciences or related discipline.
• Relevant postgraduate research experience in food/nutrition/health.
• Experience in research methodologies for human intervention studies.

- THE ROLE -

We are seeking to appoint a passionate researcher with an interest in dietary phytochemicals and eye health. The post holder will focus on conducting a human intervention study to determine the effects of a proprietary phytochemical supplement on eye health. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to research activities within the Nutrition Innovation Centre for Food and Health (NICHE) at Ulster University.

- ABOUT YOU -

• A degree (or equivalent qualification) in food/human nutrition or a related discipline in the biological sciences.
• Hold a PhD (or near completion with thesis submitted) in nutrition, biomedical sciences or related discipline.
• Relevant postgraduate research experience in food/nutrition/health.
• Experience in conducting research utilising a range of methodologies relevant to human intervention studies.
