A prestigious university in the UK seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral molecular life scientist researcher to study protein aggregation. Candidates should have a PhD in biological science and possess strong skills in molecular biology and computational analyses. The position involves both lab work and data analysis, alongside flexible hybrid working arrangements. Excellent benefits included.
We seek a highly motivated postdoctoral molecular life scientist researcher to study protein aggregation and the role of chaperones in the organized sequestration of misfolded proteins. The position will involve the use of a wide-range of molecular and cell biological approaches including recombinant DNA technology, fluorescent microscopy and proteomic techniques to assess how protein aggregation acts as a protein quality control (PQC) mechanism in eukaryotic cells.
Study protein aggregation and its role in PQC mechanisms using yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as an experimental model, employing yeast molecular biology and biochemical techniques, proteomics and microscopy approaches, combined wet-lab work and computational analysis of proteomic data.
PhD (or equivalent) in biological science with a strong background in molecular biology and computational analyses. Prior experience and suitability for the role must be clearly evidenced.
Hybrid working arrangements may be considered.
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
