Job summary

The post of Assistant Psychologist (Band 4) at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust is a fixed-term 20-month Research Assistant role. You will recruit participants for two psychosis-focused trials, conduct assessments with validated measures, and manage trial data across NHS sites and participants' homes.

Applicants should hold at least a 2:1 in psychology and have an interest in psychosis, trauma, and mental health research, with supervision and development opportunities

Qualifications

• Upper 2nd class honours degree, or higher, in psychology.
• Eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
• Further post graduate training in relevant areas of psychology, mental health practice and/or research design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Promote the study and identify potential participants with the psychosis service.
• Take informed consent and conduct trials assessments at appropriate time points.
• Follow the research protocol and avoid unblinding to which condition participants have been randomised.
• Input data and manage diary and workload.
• Travel to multiple locations including NHS settings and participants' homes.
