Job summary

Imperial College London seeks a Research Assistant in Informed Policy to support a joint research programme with City, University of London and Fleming Initiative partners. You will assist with day-to-day project management, data collection, analysis and reporting to produce policy-relevant evidence on antimicrobial resistance.

The role requires a master’s in health policy or management and experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, policymakers and researchers.

Research Assistant (Informed Policy - Fleming)

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Policy Analyst to support the delivery of research projects which are jointly led by researchers from Imperial College London and City, St George’s, University of London.

The postholder will also collaborate with researchers across the Fleming Initiative and external stakeholders as appropriate and will work closely with the Informed Policy co-leads in the management of the overall work plan, to deliver project deliverables, reports and scientific papers, develop research funding proposals and support the training and supervision of other research team members.

What you would be doing

Working closely with the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators, you will provide day-day project management support for operational and administrative tasks to ensure the effective delivery of the research programme.

  • The postholder will support mixed method research and analysis to generate policy relevant evidence and insights to address antimicrobial resistance in national and global settings.
  • You will interpret findings andidentifyopportunities for the global scale of successful interventions, working with international partnersofthe Fleming Initiative.
  • Research support will include data collection and analysis and report writing and contribution to peer-reviewed publications and also contribute to future funding proposals.
What we are looking for

The successful candidate will have clinical experience as well as qualitative research experience and an evidenced (by prior collaboration or publication) interest in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) policy research.

  • A master’s in health policy or management or related field and knowledge of health systems change is essential.
  • Experience of multidisciplinary working, including conducting research with one ormore of the following groups: public members, patients, healthcareprofessionals and policymakers are essential to this role.
  • Knowledge of structured policy analysis frameworks and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary research team is essential.

Experience of project management is desirable. You should have the ability to organise/prioritise own work with minimal supervision.
