Job summary

York St John University is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to support the Face the Future project in York. The role focuses on in-person data collection, record-keeping, and data processing under supervision.

The successful candidate will have undergraduate training in quantitative methods and statistics, plus strong IT and communication skills. Training will be provided, and the position runs for 6 months on a fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate-level training in quantitative research methods and statistics.
• Maths and English GSCE or equivalent at grade 4/C or above.
• Proficiency in standard IT applications (Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel).
• Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Previous experience as a research assistant or scheduling-related role is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out in-person data collection and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with data processing and project administration.
• Liaise with project team and stakeholders (participants, health practitioners).
