Newcastle University is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant/Associate in Experimental Evolutionary Ecology to join a dynamic research team within the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences. The successful candidate will work on a research project investigating evolutionary and ecological processes, contributing to the design and execution of laboratory-based experiments, data collection, and advanced statistical analysis. The position is available at either Research Assistant or Research Associate level depending on qualifications and experience. Eligibility Criteria:
For the Research Assistant level, candidates should hold a good honours degree in a relevant subject such as ecology, evolutionary biology, or a closely related discipline. For the Research Associate level, applicants must hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant field.

Required expertise/skills:
Applicants should demonstrate experience in experimental ecology or evolutionary biology research, including laboratory-based experimental design and implementation. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience with statistical analysis software, are essential. Experience in handling biological systems, data management, and scientific writing is required. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively, alongside strong organisational and communication skills, is essential.

Salary details:
£31,637 to £45,413 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience).
