Job summary

The Centre for Neuroimaging Sciences at King's College London is seeking a part-time Research Support post (21 hours per week) to assist with the iMarkHD study—a large-scale PET and MRI imaging project for Huntington's symptoms and progression. You will coordinate participant activity, manage data, and work with clinical staff across the research pathway.

The role involves day-to-day study running, under the supervision of the project manager, clinical fellows, and the principal investigator.

Job description

Our pre-clinical research helps to understand neurological and psychiatric diseases and disorders, showing the effects of potential new treatments. We translate these findings to improve the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders and gain insights into normal brain function. We have a strong focus on movement disorders. About the role: The prospective candidate will assist in the provision of a research service for the iMarkHD study, an ambitious large-scale imaging study looking at PET and MRI markers of Huntington\'s symptoms and progression. Across both of these studies, the candidate will be involved in follow-up and completion of relevant study specific assessments, visits and paperwork. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, coordinating participant activity and overseeing participant care at all stages of the research pathway; data management (collecting data, entering data and resolving discrepancies); working with clinical and academic staff, research organisations, and participant identification sites; satisfying audit and monitoring requirements. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the study, supported by the project manager, clinical fellows, and the principal investigator. This is a part time post (21 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until for 12 months from the start date or until 30/09/2027. There may be possibility to extend and/or to increase the FTE once in post depending on funding. Research staff at King's are entitled to at least 10 days per year (pro-rata) for professional development.
